These regulations relate to the way projects are organised and managed, and to health & safety requirements on project construction sites.
We have an outstanding Health and Safety record at RF Fixing Ltd, and regard our responsibilities as paramount, adopting a proactive view on matters of safety and the working environment around us. We have been working in consultation with Protectus Consulting over the last eight years to continually develop our management strategies and health & safety policies and procedures, to ensure we are beyond compliant, creating the safest working environment possible for our operatives and clients.
Protectus are leaders in their field providing expert advice, support and training solutions to various businesses. As members of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and registered with OSHCR and CIEH, our dedicated Protectus consultant provides advice, not only to verify our existing processes and continued compliance, but to ensure we progress our strategies and maintain our impeccable health and safety record.
Our Directors and Managers hold bi-annual meetings with Protectus to carry out reviews of all processes, policies, safe systems of work, and legislation changes, to ensure our continued compliance with COSHH and CHAS. Additionally, and in consultation with our own RF Fixing Health & Safety Manager, our dedicated Protectus advisor carries out monthly site visits and audits, helping to implement safe systems of work and identify training opportunities. The monthly training session from our Protectus consultant includes topics such as manual handling, environmental awareness, COSHH, PPE, and housekeeping. Recent training identified and secured from third parties over the last three months includes, more SMSTS training, first aid courses, leading edge and rescue training and enrolment of staff in NVQ level 2 curtain wall installation.
We are fortunate to have also recently welcomed to the RF Fixing team Aleksander Filipczak. With a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, and an MSc in Health Psychology, Aleks provides critical expertise to the RF Fixing team, working between sites and providing advice and support daily to our on-site managers.
We take our position of responsibility to our staff and clients extremely seriously and are proactive in ensuring that we have safe working practices, structure and consistency, with all our operatives working to a benchmark of expectation throughout our project sites.
