The Farringdon West Crossrail Over-Site Development (OSD) is located at the heart of Clerkenwell in Central London. Designed by award-winning British architecture practice John Robertson Architects, this project by developer HB Reavis, comprises approximately 12 800 sq m of office, retail and amenity space delivering high quality office accommodation.
The RF Fixing team began works in January 2020 on the seven-storey commercial building and are completing the whole building façade, including:
- Installing Brackets
- Standard glazed elements
- Terracota elements
- Balustrade glass
- Coping works.
Lead by our experienced RF Fixing project manager, the team included a dedicated site supervisor, health and safety manager, QA manager, slingers, banksmen and fixers. All our operatives are highly skilled and proficient in the use of cranes, trained to IPAF standard and used a combination of skills and equipment to complete the project, including:
- Spider crane – to decant and prep the elements
- Tower crane – for the install of elements
- Pallet stackers
- Gantry
- Chain hoist
- Small MEWPS
- Podiums
We are delighted to have contributed to this development on the heart of Clerkenwell, sitting adjacent to Farringdon station. The development provides approximately 12,500 metres square workspace and 600 metres square of adaptable retail lounge in an efficient, resilient and environmentally friendly setting.
