Quay Club, Canary Wharf – London

Following our successful application to become an approved supplier with the Canary Wharf Contractors Limited (CWCL), we were delighted to secure this project working on the Quay Club site with Lindner Facades Ltd at Canary Wharf in London.  The five-storey private members’ club was launched by developer Gary Landesberg and the Waney family and Adamson Associates are the architects behind the project.

The Quay Club is situated on a pontoon overlooking Bank Street. The building is made from aluminium and includes a bar, restaurant, private dining area, members’ lounges and guest accommodation, a gym, treatment studio and open terrace overlooking Middle Dock, with the top floor featuring an open roof terrace.

The RF Fixing twenty strong team fulfilled the highly bespoke specification including:

  • Unitised curtain walling
  • Vietnamese marble white cladding
  • Balustrade installation
  • Curtain walling stick works
  • Installation of doors
  • Mirrored soffit stainless steel

Lead by one of our experienced RF Fixing project managers, we had a dedicated on-site project office, with personnel including supervisor, logistics manager and team, office administrator, health and safety manager, QA manager, traffic marshall, slingers, banksmen and fixers. All of our operatives are highly skilled and proficient in the use of cranes and trained to CPCS and IPAF standard. Operatives have completed relevant training including harness training, leading edge and traffic marshal training.

The team used a combination of skills and equipment to complete the project, including:

  • Mini-cranes 295
  • Gantry
  • Chain hoist
  • Smart lifters
  • Scissor lift
  • Cherry pickers
  • Podiums

We are delighted to have contributed to this impressive development occupying just under 60,000 square feet, and sitting among the towering Canary Wharf skyline in Middle Dock. The shimmering aluminium facade, installed exclusively by our team, beautifully reflects the light bouncing off the Thames and provides a breath taking view for any audience.
