Mary Ward Centre, Stratford – London

We are excited to be engaging with Norman & Underwood, on the magnificent redevelopment of the Mary Ward Centre in Stratford, London. Norman & Underwood are  one of the UK’s most established roofing, structural glazing and building conservation contractors in the UK and we are honoured to be working with them. The redevelopment will include structural alterations to the existing frame with the addition of a third and fourth floor.

Works for this project that the RF Fixing team will be undertaking include the installation of:

  • Curtain wall
  • Doors
  • Perforated panels
  • Architectural fins/caps
  • GRC panelling
  • Aluminium cladding
  • Aluminium copings
  • Top hat substrates
  • Firs barrier
  • Plant screen roof louvres
  • Steel doors
  • Sunray doors

In addition to our experienced project manager, the RF team includes a dedicated site manager, slingers, banksmen and fixers. All our operatives are highly skilled and proficient in the use of cranes, trained to CPCS blue card status; IPAF standard and leading edge and will be using a combination of skills and equipment to complete the project.

Progress update October 2022

The team are currently working on:

  • Installing glass via glass boy/vacuum lifter on roof phase 1
  • Pressure plates and pressings to phase 1
  • Installing phase 3 stick work
  • Back construction to perforated panels levels 1-3 phase 2
  • Fire stop phase 2.
