Westfields shopping complex in White City, is the largest covered shopping development in London, with existing retail floor covering 150,000 square metres. Since it opened in 2008, Westfields has helped rejuvenate the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, and in 2014 the council approved an extension to the existing site which opened in 2018.
As part of these extension works, RF Fixing were commissioned by Metal Yapi for the element installations, including the following:
- Unitised curtain walling
- Louvers
- Glass balustrading
- Copings
The RF Fixing 15 strong team was lead by our experienced RF Fixing project manager and comprised of lift supervisor, appointed person, QA supervisor, fixers and installers. All our operatives are highly skilled and proficient in the use of cranes and trained to IPAF standard.
Works began in January 2018 and were completed successfully in December 2018, in budget and without incident. We are proud to have contributed to this prestigious and innovative development, which is a key component of the regeneration of the White City Development area.
